Nature Recovery Animation
The Client- Majestical, Cheshire Council
Majestical reached out to me to create the storyboard and visual assets for an animated short commissioned by the Cheshire/ Chester Council. For this project I was responsible for drawing up the storyboard and then later the final background designs and characters. The team at Majestical then put all the assets I created for them together and animated it.
These boards were drawn in Adobe Photoshop

Meteor Shower
The Project- Ebony finds a new friend in the form of a tired, old carousel horse.
Based on the song "Meteor Shower" by Cave Town and using a Script written by my sister Eleanor Hesse, "Meteor Shower" is a short story joint personal project in the form of a music video.
Featured are the rough boards and my personal thumbnailing developmental process.

ShapeShifter- "Ignis" Extract.
The Project- Scene is taken from a personal concept for an animation series. In this scene, the constant 'bad hair day' Luna and 'nature based witch' Ani find themselves on a stake out, watching a group of investigators on the beach. Only to find that they're being watched themselves...

The Other Side of Paradise
The Project- Following the tropes of Music Video imagery and their hazy storylines, this project was a personal experiment to portray the build up of a character's deathly jealous rampage, following the music and lyrics of the song "The Other Side of Paradise" (belonging to Glass Animals). I researched the other music videos which featured on the same album as well as other fitting music videos from different bands to create my own, unique video that wouldn't look out of place for the aesthetic of their album.
These scenes are taken from the climax of the concept.

Boards were done in Adobe Photoshop.

Abstract Animated advertising
The Client- Majestical, UK For Good
I was given creative control for the visuals to this project once the script for the speech was confirmed. The client wanted an abstract but easily readable video with emphasis on the text as there was going to be no voice over for the final video. I looked at International Typographic Style, or "Swiss Design" for inspiration.

Majestical Comics
The Project- Majestical wanted me to create comic panels using a set of characters I designed for them. Each "comic panel" needed to depict a number of messages, comments or stories that they wanted to share on their social media. As Instagram was the main target platform for these boards it made sense to keep them all in a square frame.
